DESCRIPTION:The ‘Enabling Circular Economy in Malaysia – Critical Success Factors’ event was held in conjunction with the annual ‘International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM)’ on Thursday, 13th October 2022. MAREA had the honour of speaking at the event together with Dr. Sri Umeswara (DIALOG ESECO SDN BHD), Mr. Freek van Eijk (Holland Circular Hotspot), Mr. Steven Paalman (The Ocean Cleanup), and Ms. Vimala Arumugam (BASF (M) Sdn Bhd) with the session moderated by Mr. Roberto Benetello (BCSD Malaysia).\nMAREA was represented by General Manager, Ms Pauline Goh, who gave an in depth introduction about MAREA, MAREA’s goals, present and future activities as well as the Critical Success Factors of an Effective Extended Producer Responsibility Implementation and Policy in Malaysia.\nIt was truly a successful event and MAREA look forward to more events like these to further strengthen the emerging Circular Economy and ever-growing industries especially on EPR in Malaysia.\n\n\n
